Take a look at some of our work...
The SFM landscaping team completed phase 1 of a small drainage improvement and landscaping task in Melba, North Canberra. This phase saw the preparation, installation, and establishment of approximately 7 meters of drainage channel.
The team removed the form work and then commenced phase 2 which involved the refurbishment of the already established red granite pathways and the removal of pavers and other garden clutter.
The client (a former RAAF veteran) was full of praise for the work so far and lauded the professionalism and work ethic of the guys.
In line with the above project SFM was pleased to carry out further works to enhance the ambiance of the client's red granite garden path.
The client was very satisfied with the additional services and provided the below testimonial:
“I recently had the good fortune to engage Sentinel Facilities Management (SFM) to undertake a landscaping task in our garden. As an 84 year old veteran, the work was beyond my physical capacity. I had exhausted all other local landscape enterprises (known to me), being advised “they had too much work on” or, they had shown complete disinterest in offering their services.
The Sentinel MS general manager (Mr Tony Brazell) personally visited our home to appraise the landscaping work I had described. Tony advised that his company would be more than happy to take on the task and to provide a quotation. The quote was taken up without delay.
From that point, the whole experience was one of satisfaction. Communication was always clear and pleasant and the mutually agreed changes improved the outcome. I am grateful for the advice and expertise provided to me."
Outdoor Living Upgrade
SFM recently completed a series of landscaping work to a valued APOD client in Braddon ACT. The client wished to enhance their outdoor living space by removing the old pavers and replacing them with turf along with the installation of a Merbau wooden fence.
Further to these works the client required the removal of river rock to allow for new paving along with the relaying of existing paved areas. SFM also arranged for the installation of solid core laundry door and with the additional protection of the installation of a Crimsafe Door which was completed through our sister entity Sentinel Security & Technology Group (SSTG).
Hazardous Tree Removal
SFM in conjunction with Green Edge Environmental were chosen to assist the South Coast Operations Branch of the National Parks and Wildlife Service, to fall several complex trees that had caused the closure of the Farmborough Road Management Trail in the Illawarra Escarpment State Conservation Area. These trees were sitting over an adjacent area to the trail which prevented safe use by both National Park staff and members of the public.
Our mission was to safely fall the three trees and make safe the area and surrounding trees, thus open the trail to park users. Further to this brief the team were tasked to ensure a nearby heritage listed Camellia plant was not destroyed during the felling operations, which we successfully managed to protect.
SFM were assisted by the General Manager of Green Edge Environmental (Phil Selmes), who is an expert in tree felling and chainsaw operations especially around complex tree felling. The team assisted Phil in the capacity of spotters, escape route clearance, road closure management, delimbing, rigging, general chainsaw operation as directed and overall project management for the operation.
SFM recently completed the installation of a Stratco Shed on behalf of a private client in Nicholls.
The construction of the shed also involved the installation of a new reinforced concrete slab along with the construction of garden beds that were concrete sleepers in design. Once completed the area was beautified with mulch and all waste removed.
The client is very happy with how these works have transformed their backyard.
SFM is happy to provide a quote for the purchase and installation of your new shed!
